He has a Bachelor’s of Science in Molecular Biology from Universidad de Alcalá. He recently completed a Master in Research in Functional Biology and Biotechnology.
His research experience began in 2015 with a collaborative grant in the Bioelectrogenesis group of the Universidad de Alcalá. During his bachelor’s degree he focused on the application of microbial electrochemical technologies to develop biosensors and other sensing technology. His final bachelor’s project entitled "Bioelectrochemical sensors applied to wastewater treatment" was accepted by the Chemical Engineering department of the Universidad de Alcalá. His master's thesis focused on the potential use of Purple Phototrophic Bacteria in bioelectrochemical systems.
He joined IMDEA Agua in June 2018 as a research assistant in the European project H2020 iMETland.
