He has a degree in Agricultural Engineering (UNAL) by National University of Colombia (Bogotá Colombia,2006-2012), and a M.Sc. In Hydrology and Water Resources Management by (Universidad de Alcalá & Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, 2014-2015). He worked in academic and research projects at water resources group of Civil and Environmental department of MSU (Mississippi State University, Starkville Mississippi, 2011), developing a software for infiltration soil models as a tool in water resources, assessment and management strategies of BMP’s in small agricultural watersheds.
Also, he has developed and designed over 100.000 hectares for agriculture irrigation and irrigation systems for gold and copper leaching in South America (Colombia, Perú, Ecuador and Chile). In 2015, he was professor at UDCA (Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas y Ambientales, Bogotá, Colombia) in college courses as Irrigation and drainage, pipe and open channels hydraulics, climatology and agricultural mechanization.
He developed a grad school project titled “Preliminary Hydrological Water resources Assessment of CEGA-ERESMA-ADAJA watershed using SWAT model” as part of an european project “Towards multifunctional agricultural landscapes in Europe: Assessing and governing synergies between biodiversity and ecosistem services (TALE)” from the call JOINT BIODIVERSA/FACCE-JPI 2013-2014”
