He has a degree in Biology at University of Seville (2012) and an official Master in Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology at University of Seville (2013). During his degree studies, he performed an Erasmus stage (2011-2012) at University of Coimbra (Portugal), where he worked in the Science of Life department doing molecular and morphological studies of nematodes species parasites of wood. According to master studies, his project was focused on characterization of cyanobacteria isolated from biofilm and its capacity to produce exopolysaccharides as a possible biotechnological application. Nowadays, he is working in the microbiology group from IMDEA Water, where he works as helper investigator in studies about toxic cyanobacteria from freshwater systems and their biological control with molecular methods.
