Raquel García Pacheco. Master’s degree in Hydrology and Water Resources at Alcalá University and Rey Juan Carlos University (2010-2011) and degree in Chemical Engineering at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC) (Madrid, 2003-2008). Ph.D candidate about recycling and reuse of end-of-life membranes at IMDEA WATER and Member of Emergency Response Unit: ERU WAT-SAN of Spanish Red Cross (since 2011). She has participated at CONSOLIDER TRAGUA PROJECT (2009-2012) and in international cooperation projects like INSTALLATION OF WATER ANALYSIS LABORATORY ASSOCIATE TO SNAP (CUBA-2012) and in the Yolanda´s Typhon emergency (treating water operation).
Currently participates in the REMTAVARES project (2010-2017) and develops the European LIFE project: ENV/ES/000751 TRANSFOMEM (2014-2018). She collaborates also in solar disinfection research group, in divulgation activities such as EUROPEAN RESEARCHERS NIGHT, SCIENCE WEEK and with several classes in the Hydrology and Water Resources master. She has 6 scientific papers (4 of them in quartile 1), 3 chapters book, 6 dissemination papers and 9 contributions to both national and international congresses. She is volunteer focal point of Water and Sanitation Emergency Unit.
