Dr. Francisco Carreño graduated in Geological Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid and obtained a Ph.D. for the Rey Juan Carlos University. He worked for four years in private environmental sector company and three years as an research grant in remote sensing (Complutense University of Madrid). He is professor at Biology and Geology Department at Rey Juan Carlos University since 2002. He is a co-author of six papers in international peer-reviewed journals, one scientific book and four chapter of scientific books, and more than 40 marine geology and geomorphology maps. His research is currently focused on the remote sensing and GIS techniques applied to prospecting, management and conservation of water; geology; detection of submarine groundwater discharges. He has also experience in 3D geological surfaces for groundwater modelling.
