Water reclamation by using a new concept of land application systems

Graduated in Chemical Engineering from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM). Her final project involved the design of a unit for adsorption of heavy metals in industrial wastewater. In addition, it was focused on adsorbent materials of reusable origin, such as coffee waste.
Her research experience began with a stay at the University of Santiago de Compostela. During that time, she collaborated with the Research Group in Technologies for the development of Industrial Bioproducts in the study and design of gluten-free flours from materials and low consumption products such as chestnuts or algae.
Later, she worked at the Center for Energy, Environmental and Technological Research (CIEMAT) in the Department of the Environment and, carried out a design project for a mixing and homogenization chamber for aerosols particles for application in estimation of gaseous emissions. In this project, she also collaborated with the National Institute of Aerospace Technology (INTA) for its application to aviation engines.
Blanca joined IMDEA Agua in November 2018 as predoctoral researcher in the FILVER+ project, thanks to the funds for the training of doctors contemplated in the National Training Subprogram (FPI).
